PERFECT                         PET-PEOPLE COMBINATIONS

Aries (March 21-April 20): Better take your iron pills to keep up with this dog. An Aries canine is Indiana Jones in a dog collar-an adventurous traveler. Dogs born under the Aries sign are rugged individualists. They love attention, petting and cuddling and are never shy. 

Taurus (April 21-May 21): A gourmet, the Taurus pet loves food-except the canine variety. He'll eat you out of house and home but will pay you with undying loyalty and affection. Taurus pets are quiet and passive and are the easiest in the Zodiac to train.  They are cautious about meeting new people, but when they like you, you are a friend for life. They are possessive and will guard their food and toys fiercely.

Gemini (May 22-June 22): This energetic puppy knows the dog catcher on a first-name basis. It's not a reflection on you; he just has to be free. An intelligent, entertaining dog. Gemini pets rarely have favorites. They just love the company of everyone.

Cancer (June 23-July 23): "There's no place like home" is Cancer's motto. These homebodies also love food. Swims in an ocean of emotions.  Loves to be nurtured and to nurture. They do not like sharing the home with any other animals, as they want your undivided attention.  They do not like to be left alone, and can tend to become a bit destructive if left alone too long. These little pets are very sensitive creatures and hate to be upset. They do not like loud noise or yelling.

Leo (July 24-August 23): A God with an attitude, Leo loves the limelight and is a good performer. Mundane dog activities like "fetch" or "shake" are way beneath this King-of-the-Hill. Likes compliments and pampering.  They are born leaders and may soon have a pack of friends following them. They are quite curious and consider nothing off limits, which is a fitting attitude for King or Queen Of The Jungle. Leo animals love children and make purr-fect pets. They are very protective and would gladly give their lives for yours.

Virgo (August 24-September 23): Does the term "anal retentive" apply to your dog? He or she may be a Virgo. Felix Unger would love this neatnik, who prefers human company to that of dogs, who are much too messy.  A sixth sense lets them know when you are unhappy or sick, and they are always there to comfort you.

Libra (September 24-October 23): Other dogs will fawn over your handsome Libra, but your helpless romantic won't know how to deal with them. The neighborhood peacekeepers. Lives to Love!  Affectionate. They can be stubborn at times, and may disappear to sulk. Libra's will eat just about anything, combine this with a tendency to be lazy, and they can put on a lot of extra weight. Be sure to give them plenty of exercise.

Scorpio (October 24-November 22): Intuitive and imaginative, Scorpio pets are highly intelligent. Yet they have a vindictive streak, so be careful! These are one-owner dogs-you're stuck with yours. They tend to snap or nip if they have been mistreated. Scorpio pets are intimidating to other animals. Rarely will they back down from a confrontation. They are full of pent up energy and need to run around a lot to release it. Keep a close watch on them, however, as they are possessive and have a tendency to fight.

Sagittarius (November 23-December 22): Moss doesn't grow on this rolling stone. The Sagittarian needs freedom and space. A crate just won't do. Exercise your little hobo if you want it to be happy. Sagittarius pets are the fun loving clowns of the animal world, and they are always eager to please. They are one of the most loving pets in the Zodiac, so expect a face full of wet kisses when you walk through the door.

Capricorn (December 23-January 19): Overachievers, Capricorn dogs try to excel at everything. They are patient and tend to persevere. A downside to their tenacity. They're worry warts.  They have endless endurance and will play happily hours on end. They can be moody and tend to sulk if they don't get their way.

Aquarius (January 20-February 18): Don't be surprised if your Aquarian brings home all the neighborhood strays. He's a party animal with a philanthropic bent, enticing the underprivileged to your home for food and fun.  They are extremely intelligent and unbelievably scatterbrained.  They do not obey orders easily and the more you push them, the deeper they will put their paws into the ground and refuse to budge.

Pisces (February 19-March 20): Sensitive and compassionate, Pisces pooches are definitely devoted to their owners. Keen intuition tells them when you're blue. Pisces pets are the gentle, peace loving pets that hate shouting and fighting. They are sensitive to your moods and will plant themselves securely at your side if you are sick and upset. You may begin to feel as if you have a "psychic link" with these animals because they can easily pick up on your thoughts.
